Ashley Osburn was born and raised in Neodesha, Kansas. She graduated ICC in 2005 with an Associate of General Studies and obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Accounting from Friends University in 2008. Ashley became a staff accountant with Yerkes & Michels, CPA in 2008, and three years later she added fulltime schooling to earn a Master of Business Administration in Accounting in 2013 graduating Summa Cum Laude as well as obtaining a Graduate Certificate in Accounting.
In 2014 she became a Partner with Yerkes & Michels, CPA, and the next year she became a Certified Public Accountant. As of 2018, Ashley & her business partner are the first female majority partners of the firm. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Independence Rotary, and has volunteered her time as accountant and treasurer for the Community Mission for Improved Housing, Soroptimist, St. Ignatius Catholic Church, and other local organizations. Ashley and her husband Dustin have been friends since junior high but were married recently in 2017. They reside in Independence, have three teenage boys, 2 dogs, 2 cats, many fish, and a hedgehog named Winston.
